Osteopaths can treat conditions which have had a recent onset, are more longstanding or unresolved as well as undertaking maintenance and preventative treatments. These include:
  • any form of spinal pain from disc bulges to local muscle spasm to joint sprains
  • arthritic related aches and pains
  • strain injuries from repetitive work
  • sciatica / nerve entrapment symptoms
  • muscular problems
  • referred pain
  • biomechanical imbalances
  • minor sports injuries – tennis/golf elbow, knees, shoulders
  • pregnancy and post-partum posture-related aches and pains
  • aches and pains caused by work, driving, gardening or leisure sports.
At your first treatment, a case history will be taken including a detailed life medical history plus information about your past and current lifestyle, work life and diet. Throughout the consultation, everything that is happening should be clearly explained to you and you should feel at ease so please feel free to ask any questions. You will be asked to sign a consent form to allow an examination and any appropriate treatment to take place. Many private health insurance policies provide cover for osteopathic treatment, please check with your insurance provider first.
